What past participants said about this Workshop...
BettyÂ
I really enjoyed this class. I especially like the online program that Lindlee used to take us through the making of the quilt. It was a well paced class and we could review the instructions several times if necessary.
DorothyÂ
I am so happy I participated in Lindlee's workshop. I had always wanted to make a Lone Star quilt but was afraid of them.
Lindlee took the fear away of the Lone Star explaining how to cut, sew, and assemble without the fear of stretching the pieces. She helped me understand the magic of the process.
Hillary
This workshop was great to learn the skills needed to make the Lone Star quilt. I felt confident in the process and love the result.
FAQs
Who is this Workshop for? This is an Intermediate quilt pattern. I recommend having made 1-2 quilts before making a Lone Star quilt. If you can cut accurately and consistently sew with a 1/4" seam allowance then you are ready to make a Lone Star quilt.
What is included? A digital version of the Lone Star quilt pattern, step-by-step prerecorded video instructions, access to Live Q&A sessions and recordings.
What size is the quilt? There are 3 sizes in the quilt pattern: Crib (58" x 58"), Throw (72" x 72"), and Bed (83" x 90")
How does it work? When you sign up, you will receive an email with instructions on how to log into the Workshop website.
When you sign in you will have access to the pattern, pattern overview, and information on planning your quilt.
On Monday mornings from October 26th - November 22nd, I will send an email letting you know that that week's video is now ready to view. I release these videos weekly for 5 weeks so you aren't overwhelmed by all the content at once. This way I can address questions week by week for what has been covered so far.
When will lessons be available? Each Monday morning from October 26th - November 23rd.
What will I learn? I will demonstrate how to cut your fabric with both a regular ruler and a XL Stripology ruler (optional), how to sew strips, cut diamond strips, how to sew diamond units with perfect points, and how to sew y seams.
What will be covered each week?
Week 1: Planning Your Lone StarÂ
Week 2: Cutting Strips and Sewing Strip Sets
Week 3: Cutting Diamond Strips and Sewing Diamonds
Week 4: Sewing Lone Star and Cutting Background Fabric
Week 5: Sewing Background Fabric to Lone Star

When are the Live sessions? Tuesdays at 6pm (MST). The first Live will be Tuesday, October 27th.
What time zone? I am in the Mountain Time Zone
What if I can't attend Live? All Live sessions will be automatically recorded and saved so you can view them anytime. If you know you cannot attend, you can email me your questions before the session so I can answer them.
What tools will I need? Sewing machine, Iron, Ruler, Rotary Cutter, Pins, Fabric Marking Tool (a pencil works also)
Do I need a specialty rulers? No. I like using a XL Stripology ruler when cutting a lot of strips, but it is completely optional and only saves a little time. Your ruler will need a 45 degree line.
How long will I have access to the lessons? Lifetime access. You can work through the lessons and make this quilt at your own pace.
Can I join if I won't be able to sew along right away? Yes, if you are interested in this workshop I recommend signing up now. The last time I held this Workshop was in 2023 and I don't know when it will be held again.
